"That Feeling" by Graham Fee
Artist Statement:
Dean Adams, my then professor, had just nonchalantly sparked one of the most profound realizations I would have in my art career up until this point. In that tiny, dimmed classroom, I finally understood why I chose to dedicate my studies, and ultimately my life, to making art. My work is directly inspired by my everyday experiences, which are then filtered through the various subcultural lenses of graffiti, snowboarding, skateboarding, and hip hop culture. These things are not only a part of me, but they were critical in my discovering of self, and inspiring me to embrace my individuality.
