Students who want to waive the Gold Plan after the deadline can use the one-time late waiver option by completing the petition form below. Bring the completed form and proof of insurance to Wardenburg Health Center, room 333, during regular business hours. If you have questions, please email PatientServices@colorado.edu.
Pending approval of the petition, the student will be refunded the premium amount minus a $250 late fee.
Please note: This option is only available once per student during their time at CU Boulder. The health insurance requirement must be completed every fall semester.
All students are required to have health insurance during their time at CU Boulder. Students may elect coverage through an individual health insurance plan, through a family member or employer, or the university’s Student Gold Health Insurance Plan. Students must meet this requirement their first semester at CU Boulder and every fall semester thereafter.
Students registered for six or more undergraduate credit hours or one or more graduate credit hours will be automatically enrolled in the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan and charged $1,995 per semester.
Students must complete the health insurance requirement every fall semester.
