Jillian Costello is a part-time lecturer and language tutor for the Russian department. She holds an M.A. in Comparative Literature from CU Boulder, and earned her Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures at Stanford University. Her dissertation explores the intersections of literature and bioscience in the Soviet interwar period. Her research interests include 20th century Russian literature, literature and science, literature and philosophy, literature and ethics, metafiction, science fiction, transhumanism, and biopolitics.
