Film streaming is the ability to put a film or audio file online, allowing students to watch the movie on their computer (through VPN).  Streaming can be done through Norlin or ALTEC.

Norlin streaming service is faster, charge up to $40.  ASSETT was paying for the Norlin streaming, now funds need to be requested through ASSETT (an extra step, not guaranteed funding).

ALTEC streaming (usually takes 2 weeks, a little longer in the busy months of Aug, Dec & Jan).  If ALTEC does not own the film you want streamed, they encourage you to request ALTEC to purchase the film.  To do this, fill out a "Course Materials Request Form" from the ALTEC website.  Have the dept. chair sign and then submit form to Patty Schindler.  To have a film streamed, you will need to fill out two forms (Streaming Video Request form and the Faculty Copyright Sign-off form) from the ALTEC website.
