Community Living
Members of Fraternity & Sorority Life are part of both the CU Boulder community and the broader Boulder community. Being part of the Boulder community involves a sense of belonging and responsibility. It is important to contribute positively by participating in local activities, adhering to safety regulations and building strong relationships. These actions improve the community living experience and support a peaceful environment for all members.
Boulder Police Department (BPD)
CU Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic chapters have Boulder Police liaisons. Councils will support chapters in connecting with their BPD liaisons and should keep them informed of social events. Work to form strong relationships with them to support the overall success of your chapter within the community.
Fire safety
If your chapter has a chapter house, you should be hosting fire drills to be prepared in case of emergency. Update fire alarm batteries regularly and make sure your chapter is informed on fire safety. Boulder Fire Department has community outreach and education programs we encourage all members to take advantage of!
Living in Boulder
We all play a part in the well-being of our community. Whether we realize it or not, our actions can sometimes affect those around us. Wherever you live, take time to introduce yourself to your neighbors and get to know them. Fill out and share contact information cards with your neighbors so you can keep in touch if anything comes up.
