Jeremy A. Jackson is an alumnus of SUNY Geneseo and current student at the University of Maryland – College Park where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in English Literature with certification in Critical Theory. His academic focus is in contemporary African American literature, specifically Afro-Surrealism, modern re-imaginings of slave narratives, and the intersectionality of jazz literature and complex mathematics. He recently presented his work “Making Tomorrow[?]: Zone One’s American Phoenix as Post-Apocalyptic Slaveholder”at the 2016 NeMLA  conference.
