The Budget and Finance team is responsible for providing university-wide leadership and broad strategic oversight in the monitoring, management, and control of the approximately $2 billion financial resources of CU Boulder. Budget and Finance is led by the associate vice chancellor for budget and planning and the assistant vice chancellor and campus controller and includes the Office of Budget & Fiscal Planning (BFP) and the Campus Controller’s Office (CCO). The AVCs work closely and collaboratively with executive leadership and budget and financial managers across the institution to provide strong management reporting, controls, and excellent customer service throughout the university.

BFP manages the current funds budget for the CU Boulder campus, actively partnering with academic and administrative leaders. BFP work with units to plan, identify and facilitate the allocation of resources necessary for the campus to excel.

CCO maintains and supports CU Boulder's fiscal responsibility through accurate financial accounting and reporting in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. CCO provides oversight, assistance, and training in financial stewardship for the campus. CCO also includes the Research Financial Services department.
