As the University of Colorado Boulder’s Chief Financial Officer, Carla Ho'a has overall responsibility for the Finance and Business Strategy team, which includes the associate vice chancellor for budget and finance, the chief data strategy and analytics officer, the executive director of auxiliary services, and their respective organizations. Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) supports campus resource allocation and management, financial compliance, accounting, capital financing and debt management, parking services, retail programs, institutional data and reporting, decision support, and strategic budget development.
Prior to leading FBS, Carla was Assistant Vice Chancellor for Budget & Fiscal Planning. In this role, she oversaw campus budget development, resource management, financial forecasting and modeling, capital financing, and debt management. Carla has held previous leadership appointments at the University of Colorado as Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at the CU College of Nursing and Director of Special Projects and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration Auxiliaries at CU Boulder.
Carla holds a master of business administration and a bachelor’s degree in finance.
