We have a new name: Business, Finance and Infrastructure

The organization formerly known as Finance and Business Strategy has changed its name to Business, Finance and Infrastructure (BFI).

Business, Finance and Infrastructure is now made up of campus departments focused on the financial and physical resource management of CU Boulder. Its key areas include the following:

  • Auxiliary Services: Children's Center, CU Book Store, Imaging Services, Parking Services
  • Budget and Finance: Budget & Fiscal Planning, Campus Controller’s Office, CCO's Research Financial Services
  • Business Solutions: Campus Business Services, Campus Business Success
  • Business Strategy: Business Strategy Office, Real Estate Services
  • Infrastructure and Resilience: Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Management, Planning, Design and Construction

The name change reflects the new organizational makeup. In January 2025, Infrastructure and Resilience, led by vice chancellor Chris Ewing, joined Finance and Business Strategy.

BFI remains committed to ensuring the University of Colorado Boulder has a strategic, systematic, and comprehensive approach to all areas of resource planning and management. The organization is led by senior vice chancellor for finance and business, Todd Haggerty. Haggerty reports to Justin Schwartz, CU Boulder’s chancellor.
