Louise Vale has been named the interim senior associate vice chancellor for budget and finance by senior vice chancellor and chief financial officer, Kelly Fox, effective September 1, 2015. In her role, Vale will oversee the Office of Budget, Finance & Enrollment Services, ensuring the University of Colorado Boulder has a strategic, systematic, and comprehensive approach to all areas of business and financial management.

Prior to Vale’s current position, she held other appointments as the vice chancellor for administration at the University of Colorado Boulder, the director of internal audit for the University of Colorado system, and the associate vice chancellor for budget and operations at the University of Colorado Denver. In addition, she participated in the capital budgeting and planning of new buildings at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus and served for two years on the Boulder campus beginning in 1998 as an assistant to the dean of budget and planning in the College of Arts and Sciences.

As senior associate vice chancellor, Vale will supervise the campus controller, director of auxiliary services, assistant vice chancellor for budget and fiscal planning, and assistant vice chancellor for integrated planning and decision support within the senior vice chancellor's division.

Vale will serve as interim until a permanent associate vice chancellor is successfully hired. We welcome Louise Vale to the team!
