Doctoral Fellow
IMO-IMOMEC • Functional Materials Engineering (FME)

Rachith is a Ph.D. researcher from the University of Hasselt, Belgium. He is visiting CU Boulder through an international mobility funding from the Research Foundation – Flanders, Belgium. His project at CU Boulder will investigate the influence of plasmonic nanoparticles on organic semiconducting and hybrid perovskite materials. In his recent work, he has investigated the use of organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposites as functional layers for efficient organic light-emitting diodes. As part of his work, he has invented a new solution deposition technique to deposit ultra-thin (<15 nm) films over large areas for applications in organic/inorganic optoelectronics, batteries, and biomedical devices.
