Melanie is a first-year master's degree student and completed a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering at CU this past summer. Her studies concentrate on water resources, quality, and treatment, but she also has a special interest in sustainable engineering solutions for small and developing communities. While at CU she hopes to study and research issues related to algae growth in drinking water treatment. In her spare time she likes to enjoy the outdoors and travel.
