Research

Professor Pfeffer’s research focuses on glacier dynamics and mechanics, he has done field research in various glacier regions from Alaska to Antarctica. His research specifically focuses on the dynamics of ocean-ending glaciers and glacier contributions to sea level. Following along with which his research and interest areas are also in heat and mass transfer in snow, along with ice and porous media, fluid dynamics, and experimental methods in snow hydrology.
