It is a 2-year program focusing on higher education and leadership centered around a social justice perspective.
Efren has been offered and accepted a Graduate Assistantship with the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center doing academic support for Latinx-identified students, academic support events, and focusing on academic success for students.
The assistantship assists Efren with his tuition being covered by them and offering his a monthly living stipend.
He starts his graduate program in August 2019 and it will go until Spring 2021.
He plans to pursue a PhD in the field of anthropology and/or education in the future.
