Reclaimed food

The Boulder Food Rescue works with local groceries, bakeries, catering companies, and green markets to rescue food which would otherwise be thrown away and shares it with communities like us! Reducing food waste is a passion we both share! Check out this article on reducing food waste for ideas on how to use, store, and compost your food!

The Environmental Center, in partnership with CU Housing and the Boulder Food Rescue offers a weekly delivery of FREE rescued food to Graduate and Family Housing! The goal is to put excess food from grocery stores to use and make it accessible to the Graduate and Family Housing community.

Interested in Helping Out?

If you have any extra crops from your GFH community gardens, please consider sharing your excess with the community by dropping it off at the Tuesday distribution.

To keep this food distribution running each week, we need volunteers to help run the event on Tuesdays.  If you would like to help, please sign up using our new Fall form!   Volunteering is very easy and rewarding! Email with any questions or concerns you may have!
