Students volunteering at donation drive The annual “Give & Go Donation Drive” is being held in all the Campus Residence Halls during Student Move Out between April 15th and May 6th. This campus-wide reuse program captures over 40 tons of clothing, food, personal care items and durable goods for reuse in our community.

With such a large footprint, we need all hands on deck to make this sustainable effort a success. Volunteers are needed during the busiest week in early May, from the 2nd to the 6th. Volunteers help sort and bag items for collection, load materials in trucks, and guide students to donate correctly at our stations. Please use this form to signup for a volunteer shift.

CU’s highly successful move out donation drive is a result of a partnership between Housing Facilities, Residence Life, Facilities Management, and The Environmental Center. Donations benefit the Emergency Family Assistance Association, Resource Central, USagain and many small campus and community organizations. Our partners are unique in their capacity to handle the intense wave of materials from students leaving their dorms and are crucial to the program’s  success.

Volunteers with the program are able to connect with like-valued students and staff, gain practical skills in event management, learn more about sustainability on campus, and fulfill community service hours. Click here to sign up and feel free to email Robin.Poley@Colorado.edu with questions.
