"Give-and-Go" Donation Drive for On-Campus Residents

Housing & Dining Services partners with the Environmental Center each year to create the Give and Go Donation Drive. The items collected are given to various local charities including Salvation Army, Globe Med, Boulder County Homeless Shelter, Emergency Family Assistance and Community Food Share to be repurposed. Did you know that each year we collect over 150 tons of reusable items at move-out?! There will be collection stations in the lobby of each residence hall. Moving out—don't throw it out, donate it! Donation areas will be available in each residence hall April 25-May6.
Collected items include:

Appliances (large and small) Hangers Skis/snowboards
Arts and crafts items Jewelry Small electronics
Bicycles Non-perishable food Small furniture
Books Office supplies Small rugs
CDs, DVDs, clocks Personal care products Sporting goods
Clothing, hats, purses, shoes Pillows/bedding Tools
Foam bed pads Pots/pans/dishes/silverware TVs/stereos/games

Bike Donation Drive

If you would like to donate your bicycle before leaving, you can do so at three conveniently located areas:

  • UMC Bike Station: May 1-6
  • Kittredge: May 5-6
  • Williams Village: May5-6

Students donating bikes will get to spin the prize wheel with a chance to win a gift card or other items as a "thank you" for their donation.

At those same locations, you can also arrange for summer bike storage:

  • Summer bike storage: $10
  • Summer bike storage plus a tune up: $30

If you live off-campus, take care to properly dispose of your belongings after moving out in order to avoid violating Boulder trash ordinances!

Luckily, CU Recycling is here to help! Give your stuff a new life and donate any reusable items to avoid any costly fines.
