Joe Romig holds a Ph.D. in Astrogeophysics. He worked in the private sector and taught Astronomy in Continuing Education at CU Boulder for thirty-four years. He was also an exceptional football player for the Colorado Buffaloes, elected to the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1973 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1984. Joe moved to Boulder with his mom when he was four, some seventy-six years ago. Of his involvement with the museum, Joe notes: “We lived two houses or so from Hugo Rodeck who was the Director of the Museum. I went there frequently then and now. My wife Barbara has worked at the Museum for forty years. We both have had a long-term interest in the CU Museum.”
