Native Foraging

For generations, Native people have gathered wild plants not just to survive, but also to feel close to the earth—seeing it as a relative and treating it with respect. Sadly, a lot of this important knowledge and many native plants have been lost over time because of harmful colonial practices and policies.

Now, we invite you to reconnect and celebrate Native traditions with us. Come join this two-part series to learn how to safely find and enjoy edible native plants. First, a trusted knowledge keeper will share personal stories and tips on foraging, and then you’ll get to put what you learn into practice by identifying plants in rotating locations (transportation is provided). All are welcome, and we can’t wait to explore and learn together!
