The Undergraduate Research Fellows Program is building a home to a community of undergraduate students, supported by faculty and staff, who are exploring their own research passions as they emerge as the next generation of wellness scientists, practitioners, and leaders. This program is guided by our 5-phase model of cyclical and iterative co-design.
The Undergraduate Research Fellows Program is a three-year program that is being co-designed with participating undergraduate students and research mentors. The program is guided by theories of applied and situated learning, emphasizing apprenticeship, community, and contextualized learning experiences. Students will participate in seminar courses, community building, summer immersive research experiences, lab apprenticeships, a participatory action research project, and conference participation. Their experience will culminate with the completion of an honors thesis.
