Dr. Chelsea Taylor is an Undergraduate Mentor and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Crown Institute. Her research centers on ways to shape college classroom environments and experiences so that all students may feel welcomed, valued, and able to reach their full academic potential. As a former dancer, Chelsea is also fascinated by the connection between dance and psychological phenomena such as spatial reasoning and health, and partners with Boulder Ballet to investigate the effects of viewing dance on emotional wellbeing. Outside of research, Chelsea has danced professionally with several companies in the San Francisco area and has had the honor to work as a river guide in the Grand Canyon for nearly two decades. Chelsea received her PhD in Social Psychology from CU Boulder.
