Travel and Lodging
Flying in from Out-of-State:
We recommend flying into the Denver International Airport. The airport is about a 50 minute drive or a 1 hour and 30 min bus ride from campus (sometimes longer depending on the time of day).
Transportation to and from the Airport or to Denver:
There are a few public transportation options from the airport or the city to campus. You may also, of course, rent a car or use Lyft.
RTD: The public transportation system in Denver, Boulder, and the surrounding areas. You can access their webpage for routes and pricing information. The SkyRide bus, which goes to the airport from campus, is the AB Line for Boulder, and a one-way ticket costs $9. If you are in Denver, you can take the lightrail's A Line straight from Union Station to the airport.
Green Ride Boulder: Green Ride is a shuttle system that travels to and from the airport with prior reservations. Reservations can be made online.
Transportation around Boulder:
RTD: see above.
Walk!: Pearl St. and the Hill are both within walking distance of campus (Pearl St. ~20 min., the Hill ~5 min) and offer food, coffee, and drinks.
Lodging:
We have a room block at Basecamp Boulder at $179 a night (the block goes from Weds. Sept. 5 - Sun. Sept. 9). Basecamp is a 0.7 mile walk (15 minutes) or a 15 minute bus ride to campus. This is the closest option to the conference.
Additionally, we can recommend the following hotels (we suggest looking at discount booking sites to help with costs).
- Embassy Suites in Boulder (~1 mile walk to campus; 15 minute bus ride)
- Hilton Garden Inn (~1 mile walk to campus; 15 minute bus ride)
- Westin Westminster (Located between Boulder and Denver; FF1 bus leaves every 15 minutes to Boulder for about a 30 minute bus ride that drops you off right at campus)
