We work at the interface of statistical physics and biology. We focus on topics from non-equilibrium statistical physics to evolutionary biology and immune system. The topics that we are currently investigating include (i) the role of Darwinian evolution in shaping the adaptive immune response against evolving pathogens, (ii) emergence of memory strategies in the immune system and (iii) optimal control of evolving pathogens with targeted interventions. To address these questions we combine toy models to build intuition about the system with data-driven approaches to learn the details of biology and test hypotheses.
