Ali Yazdani

My research is focused on the study of topological and correlated quantum states using spectroscopic imaging with the scanning tunneling microscope. Our group is studying the properties of exotic emergent quasi-particles in these systems, from those that behave as heavy electrons to more recent efforts on Dirac, Majorana, and Weyl fermions.
