In the lab

The way images come to light has evolved since the smell of developer and fixer filled the School of Journalism and Mass Communication darkroom. CMCI students now take classes and conduct research with augmented reality, virtual reality and 360-degree video technologies in the Immersive Media Lab. Housed in Folsom Stadium room 136, the lab opened this fall with funding from the Hearst Foundation.
