Iris Ghatak is a PhD student in media studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She earned two Masters degrees in the Western and Eastern Classics respectively at St John’s College in Santa Fe, where she also wrote her masters essay on the mutual concerns among Sir Thomas Browne and Sigmund Freud. Her primary interests involve white supremacy, social media, and the physical fallout between the two. Through her research, she attempts to understand virtual and physical space, identity, and violence through an interdisciplinary and non-dualistic lens.
