Faye Kollig
PhD Student
Information Science

Faye Kollig is a second year PhD student in the Information Science Department at CU Boulder, advised by Professor Casey Fiesler. They are interested in studying the benefits, harms and tradeoffs of using social media for people with chronic mental and physical health conditions, and how trauma-informed care principles might be used to improve these online spaces. Faye grew up in Michigan, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Media & Information. In their spare time, they like making espresso drinks, playing video games, collecting thrift store trinkets and petting dogs they meet on walks.
