Students gathered with their families and faculty members on Dec. 16, 2016 to celebrate their graduation from CMCI. The ceremony recognized more than 100 students who are graduating the Department of Communication and the journalism and mass communication program. The ceremony also included the first four students to graduate under the new degree requirements of the College of Media, Communication and Information, which officially opened its doors in Aug. 2015.

“What you've learned here has given you means to think, innovate and lead the world,” said Lori Bergen, founding dean of CMCI, as she addressed the students. “I hope you'll take pride and joy in your education. Yesterday, you were CMCI students. Today, you're CMCI alumni.”
