The Department of Critical Media Practices presents a series of sound workshops and film screenings with media artists Ernst Karel and Helen Mirra on Feb. 12 and 13 on the CU Boulder campus. Working in both sound installation and film in association with Harvard University’s Sensory Ethnography Lab, Karel and Mirra explore the connections between sound, site and performance through the prism of collaborative practice. The events’ co-sponsors are the Department of Critical Media Practices and the Department of Anthropology, with the assistance of a GCAH grant from CU's Center for the Humanities and the Arts.
