Espelie wins Grand Prize in international new media festival

Erin Espelie, assistant professor of Critical Media Practices, won the $5,000 grand prize at the 15th Seoul International New Media Festival for her film The Lanthanide Series. The film examines the materiality of the digital world, combining approaches of nonfiction narrative essay, abstract visual and sound exploration and the history of black mirrors.
