Learn more about the Renewable Energy Career Accelerator by attending our upcoming info sessions. At these sessions we'll review all of the details about the program, introduce you to mentors and instructors from the industry, and answer students' questions. (The two sessions are identical; no need to attend both).

Admissions Criteria
Renewable Energy professionals come from many different academic backgrounds.
The Accelerator is looking for applicants with a strong passion for the environment and a demonstrable track record of committed achievement.

Do you want to launch a career in renewable energy, but you need the employer connections, know-how, and mentor guidance to get that job or internship? The Accelerator provides:
Professional Network Development
The most effective way to win jobs is to be pulled into job opportunities from inside employers through contacts in your professional network. The Accelerator helps students build their own professional network that surfaces the opportunities that lead to interviews.
Skills Training
A specific set of renewable energy industry skills can differentiate you as a candidate for an opening. The industry professionals in the Accelerator have identified those skills that make you stand out and will train you on what you need to know.
Mentorship Support
Navigating a job or internship search can be daunting for someone who has never done it before and does not know the industry. The Accelerator assigns each student with a mentor from the industry to guide them through the journey.
Program Information
The program will meet on Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm on October 20 - November 17, 2026 and then again January 12 - March 2, 2027 in the UMC.
The program is zero-cost to students, and it provides zero academic credit. More specific detail on the program and schedule are available here.
