No. CU Gaming is just the host of the event
Other organizations are welcomed and can have a table
How are underrepresented/misrepresented groups the focus of the whole event?
After the Keynote event there are opportunities for other groups to have tables in an “explore” area for them to hold activities for attendees to get involved
Open to suggestions that bring in more cultural diversity
From Nicholas:
Some items are specialty items that they cannot rent. What will happen to that?
It’ll be discussed at the next meeting
Willing to lend out the equipment
Will also be used for future events
Discussion
We have funded CU Gaming before because of the fact that gamer culture is still underrepresented and misrepresented on campus
Additional benefit of also highlighting further underrepresented identities withing the gaming community.
Welcome event for every semester
Trying to establish a back-to-school tradition
How can we stop the event from being repetitive
Ask CU Gaming if they would like help reaching out to people
Just something like giving them our mailing list etc.
Communication has been rough in the past with CU Gaming
Make sure that we stay on top of getting responses from them and make sure they understand how important good financial organization and communication is
Request that he involve the rest of the leadership team of CU Gaming
Make it clear that the CEB email needs to be cc’d on all communication.
