      2. Send an email saying the org needs to go through our predicated processes for funding + that Trevor Noah was not a CEB event, but one we contributed to

      3. Individual apart of an organization, implied to provide a new perspective and allocate equally for a conservative event 

        1. Interesting dynamics occurs when we throw events like these

      1. SHPE and UMAS y MECHA “ACTIVATE SLAM Poetry Workshops & Open Mic,” November 7th-9th (20 min)

        1. Motion to give SHPE and UMAS y MECHA until next Monday to submit their invoices.

        2. Motion to delay looking through the budget and allocating funds until next Monday, September 28th.

        7. Motion to approve CEB funding ___ for SHPE and UMAS y MECHA’s “Activate SLAM Poetry Workshops & Open Mic” event,

      1. Updates: 

        1. Jemil emailed Macky, we can use space, but do not have tech employees currently, can make lighting and sound effects on stage

        2. Proposed Costs: $520 + $41/hour (perhaps 5-6 hours) = $766

        3. Cannot have any wind instruments 

        4. Christina Fang will be available to help

    3. Improvements for BLM Event

      1. Positives

        1. No technical difficulties! 

        2. Questions asked, many compliments

        3. Provided sense of empowerment for many people on campus

        4. Event felt personable, felt more like a conversation

        7. Orgs felt touched by the shoutout

      2. Negatives

        1. Able to get to more questions, cognizant of time and number of speakers

          1. Make sure questions are specifically addressed, and limit questions

        2. Make sure tech is consistent throughout (e.g. speakers view vs. gallery)

        3. Introductions were not great

          1. Maybe some training

          2. Mispronounced guests’ speakers names
