NEW IPHY Study Abroad Opportunity: Health & Disease (South Africa)

Global Seminar: Health & Disease (Durban, South Africa) - IPHY 4041

Approved for three IPHY upper-division elective and Sociology upper-division elective credits

Pre-requisite: IPHY 3410 - Human Anatomy; minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; sophomore standing

Join us in Durban, South Africa, to learn about the varied health care systems supporting populations facing high levels of HIV, AIDS, and other diseases, as well as the inconsistent access to nutritious foods across the region. Through community visits and working with local health organizations, you will make your own observations about the equality and accessibility to health care in and around Durban and how disease is managed. Earn three credits in three weeks (Maymester). The priority application deadline is October 22.
