This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area, located in Temple, TX.
This is a term, time-limited appointment with an initial duration no less than 13 months and can be extended up to a total of 4 years.
Responsibilities
- Assists in one or more phases of the research process by performing a variety of technical duties, in a laboratory, field, and greenhouse environment, common to plant research.
- Performs routine and recurring techniques and studies using a variety of specialized equipment.
- Collects, prepares, evaluates, and verifies plant and soil samples and supporting records
- Maintains inventory of chemicals, prepares solutions and reagents for use in the laboratory, field, or greenhouse, and safely disposes of waste material (both chemical and biological).
Travel Required
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
