Health Promotion Student Employment for 2020-2021 (Peer Educators and Peer Wellness Coaches)
The Health Promotion Department has open applications for the Peer Educator and Peer Wellness Coaching positions. We are looking for multiple undergraduate students to apply and will continue to take applications for both positions until they are filled. We also plan to conduct interviews for the positions via Zoom. See below for more information about the two positions and attached are copies of the applications and job descriptions. Paid Peer Educators
HealthBuffs peer educators serve as ambassadors for health and wellness and play a key role in connecting students to the various resources located in Health and Wellness Services and across campus. Through a variety of peer-led initiatives in the areas of stress, sleep, sexual health, relationship wellness, self-image, alcohol and other drugs, nicotine cessation, suicide prevention and more, HealthBuffs provide essential health and wellness services to students and student groups. Peer wellness coaches
Health Promotion is recruiting HealthBuffs peer wellness coaches for the 2020-2021 school year. A peer wellness coach (PWC) promotes greater student well-being by working with their peers to increase awareness of wellness resources on campus, provide support and encourage responsible decision-making. Peer wellness coaches support students in realizing their own wellness goals through a positive, strengths-focused approach. Typical coaching topics include physical and emotional well-being, goal setting, stress reduction, time management and more. See the full job description.
