The Global Seminar Tanzania (ANTH 4020) is a unique anthropology study abroad program that I direct in Tanzania. Peter an ENVS major wrote that “ the global Seminar Tanzania was a life changing experience and I learned more about political ecology, wildlife conservation, and field immersion than I ever could in the class room.” ANTH 4020: Conservation and Indigenous Peoples is a 3-credit course during June 2020 that offers Biology undergraduates an opportunity to explore the contentious balance between people and wildlife in Northern Tanzania and how ecosystems are inseparable from human spaces.
