The CU Public Interest Internship Experience (PIIE) application is open for applications! PIIE internships empower students to make a positive impact in the Boulder/Denver communities by partnering with local non-profit and government organizations. If you are a student who is passionate about serving and strengthening our community and environment, PIIE is the right program for you! This upcoming summer, we are excited to be working with:     

 

  •        Boulder County Administrative Services
  •        Boulder Housing Partners
  •        Boulder Valley Women’s Health
  •        City of Boulder – Strategic Communication
  •        Chef Ann Foundation
  •        Council of Western State Foresters
  •        Davis Phinney Foundation

 

  •        I Have a Dream Foundation of Boulder Valley
  •        Intercambio
  •        Lafayette Arts and Cultural Resources Department
  •        mpowered
  •        The Nature Conservancy
  •        YMCA of Northern Colorado

 

Not only will PIIE interns gain valuable experience, but they will also receive a stipend of $4,680 for 360 hours over the summer! In addition, interns will participate in professional development days throughout the summer, have access to advisors, and interact with other interns to network and gain additional skills.

 

Requirements:

  •        Must be a full time undergraduate student at CU
  •        GPA of 2.5 or higher
  •        Must have completed 2 semesters after high school by January 2019
  •        Must be continuing as a student into the Fall 2019 semester
