Rollo Davidson Prize
Brian Rider
Brian Rider, assistant professor of mathematics at CU, has won the Rollo Davidson Prize, which recognizes promising young probabilists. As Rider states on his web site, “I work in random matrix theory which aims to understand what the eigenvalues of a typical linear map look like.”
The prize was established in memory of Rollo Davidson, an accomplished mathematician of remarkable potential and eellow-elect of Churchill College, Cambridge, who died while mountain climbing in 1970.
