Nusrath Jahan

Hi, I am Nusrath Jahan! I am a PhD student in Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences at CU Boulder. I was born and raised in Bangladesh, where I completed my undergraduate studies in Physics at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology. My research interests focus on galaxies and their evolution. I have worked with the CANUCS survey (JWST Cycle-1 GTO program), studying lensed galaxies to understand how star clusters and their host galaxies co-evolve over cosmic time. I also have experience in galaxy-scale strong lens modeling with Hubble Space Telescope data to investigate the structure and environments of massive elliptical galaxies. Outside of research, I was actively involved in astronomy outreach through a student-led organization, CAM-SUST, in Bangladesh. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new hobbies and interests, especially since moving abroad for my PhD. Feel free to reach out, I am happy to connect and offer support where I can!
