Md. Soyed Ahmed
Hi! My name is Md. Soyed Ahmed. I’m a first-year PhD student in the Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences (APS) Department at the University of Colorado Boulder. My research interests center around solar and stellar physics, with a particular focus on understanding the magnetic corona of the Sun and other stars, as well as the study of exoplanets. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in Bangladesh. I published my research abstract titled "Modeling Stellar EUV Irradiance: A Proxy-Based Approach Using FUV Spectral Analysis of Solar Analogs" at the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) 2025 Science Workshop. Since high school, I have been deeply involved in astronomy and science outreach in my home country. I work to raise awareness about space science and aim to inspire the next generation of astronomy enthusiasts. In addition to my academic work, I’m an amateur astrophotographer and love capturing and sharing the beauty of the night sky. Outside of research, I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, traveling—and yes, gossiping with friends. I’m always eager to collaborate with fellow space enthusiasts, educators, and advocates of science and astronomy outreach. Please feel free to get in touch!
