After graduating from Bard College with a BA in Writing, I sailed and built boats for a living for eight years – a great way to travel. Coming ashore, I began teaching classes on food production, culture and history, and fell in love with both teaching and food studies. This led me to eventually return to school at CU Boulder for a graduate degree in Food Geography (MA completed, PhD in progress). After working for several years as a TA and Instructor in both Geography and the Program for Writing and Rhetoric, I’ve moved into Academic Advising. I love working with students!
Outside of work and studies, I enjoy gardening, films, hiking, cooking, and jewelry-making.
