Denise Yudovich
My name is Denise Yudovich, and I am a PhD student in the APS department at the University of Colorado Boulder. I'm originally from Miami, FL, and received my BS in Astrophysics (with an English minor) at the University of Florida. I worked on three separate research projects, two of which revolved around AGNs and galactic dynamics, while the third and main project concerned stellar flare morphology and resulted in a publication (DOI 10.3847/1538-4357/adc695). I am interested in understanding the role of magnetic reconnection in the creation of stellar flares and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), as well as the implications these events have on exoplanet habitability. I am also interested in mathematical and gravitational physics, and can be easily tempted into working on such theoretical physics projects. For more info, access my website.
Aside from physics, I enjoy reading, swimming, cycling, kayaking, and traveling. I love animals, so one can often find me around pets and farm animals (I used to volunteer on a rescue farm). Please don't hesitate to reach out!
