My name is Cori Laughrey, and I’m a first-year graduate student specializing in solar physics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. My current research focuses on using numerical simulations and high-resolution observations to study solar convection. As an undergraduate, I worked with Dr. Mark Rast to compare observations of solar granulation to radiative MHD simulations. When I'm not immersed in research, you can find me training at the local CrossFit gym and sharing my passion for astronomy through public outreach.
