My friends call me Gilly, and I am a Graduate Research Assistant. I work for Dr. Steven Cranmer, studying the way that Alfvén waves might be heating the Solar Corona to temperatures of millions of degrees. I am interested in Heliophysics, Solar Physics, and the Sun-Earth connection. I hope to be involved in space missions such as NASA's Parker Solar Probe and ESA's Solar Orbiter, as well as the DKIST ground-based solar telescope. These instruments will all come online over the next few years. My Alma Mater is Georgia Tech. For more information, check out my website.
I want to be a great teacher one day, and I'm doing my best to get all the training I can while I am in grad school to make that happen. Check out my CV to see all the fun things I've been doing!
