Christopher Chris Gilly Gilbert

Office: SPSC-N223

My friends call me Gilly, and I am a Graduate Research Assistant. I work for Dr. Steven Cranmer, studying the way that Alfvén waves might be heating the Solar Corona to temperatures of millions of degrees. I am interested in Heliophysics, Solar Physics, and the Sun-Earth connection. I am an associated investigator for the NASA PUNCH mission, which will be launching in 2025! When I graduate from CU I will continue working on that mission at the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder. My Alma Mater is Georgia Tech. For more information, check out my website.

I want to be a great teacher one day, and I'm doing my best to get all the training I can while I am in grad school to make that happen. Check out my CV to see all the fun things I've been doing!
