Chancellor Phil DiStefano has announced CU Boulder has just completed an important phase in its accreditation process and is now moving to implement improvements that the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) recommended.

The HLC is one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. Accreditation requires a comprehensive evaluation of the university’s programs, policies and practices and culminates in a visit by trained peer evaluators every 10 years. In December 2019, an HLC team of evaluators visited CU Boulder to review the university as a whole and provide recommendations for continued improvement. You are encouraged to read the team’s report from that visit.

The campus’s assurance argument, HLC final team report, CU Boulder’s institutional response to that report and the HLC action letter are all available for campus review on the accreditation website.
