The new director of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is Paulette Erickson-England, a licensed clinical social worker and FSAP counselor. As a unit of the Department of Human Resources, FSAP is dedicated to serving the emotional and psychological needs of the campus community.

Erickson-England has been with FSAP since 2011. In that time, she has held staff counselor and senior staff counselor positions. Prior to joining FSAP, her professional counseling and social work experience included 10 years of county social work in child welfare, supervision, client counseling and advocacy and six years in private practice providing counseling to individuals, families and couples. 

The new director holds a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Additional training and certifications include Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), National Behavioral Intervention Team Associations (NaBITa) Threat Assessment Certification and graduate-level training in depth psychology.

Erickson-England leads a team of counselors and counseling interns who provide counseling, referral services, support groups and work-life presentations to CU Boulder employees. She succeeds Olga Vera who left the university after serving as FSAP director for eight years.
