Staff Council Update: 2014 Fall Blood Drive begins Sept. 3

Published: Aug. 27, 2014
You can help save a life - schedule your appointment to donate blood on the CU-Boulder campus.
You might think that Bonfils has enough donor support to maintain the blood supply, but in fact, the need for blood is constant. Bonfils Blood Center needs thousands of donors each week to meet Colorado's needs and to be prepared for unexpected events. All blood types are needed and we welcome new blood donors to join the Bonfils family.
September 2014 dates and locations:
Wednesday, Sept. 3 and Thursday, Sept. 4, followed by Tuesday, Sept. 9 and Wednesday, Sept. 10, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, hosted in the University Memorial Center, room 382-386.
Schedule a convenient time to donate blood. Schedule online: Visit, and reference site code 0248 when searching for CU donation location. You can also schedule by phone: call the Bonfils Appointment Center at 303-363-2300, once again referencing site code 0248.
Walk-ins are always welcome.
For questions, call Bonfils' Donor Relations at 303-363-2202 or 800-365-0006, option 1.
Did you know there is another way you can save lives? Each year thousands of people are diagnosed with diseases like leukemia and lymphoma for which a stem cell or marrow transplant could be the only cure. About 70 percent of these people are unable to find a donor match within their family and must search for an unrelated donor on the Be The Match ® Registry. Join the registry through Bonfils' Colorado Marrow Donor Program. It's easy and saves lives.
Thank you for passing this on to friends, colleagues and students.
