How can you capture the essence of a campus community in a turn of phrase, a sentiment, a call to action? How do we rally our campus around a common idea of what the University of Colorado Boulder is all about?

Be engaged. Be active. Be imaginative. These are some of the ways we can describe being part of the CU-Boulder community. During this year’s State of the Campus address, Chancellor DiStefano announced we would be moving ahead with a new campus communications platform. He now invites us all to Be Boulder.

A communications platform gives CU-Boulder a consistent way to communicate and engage our faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents, prospective students and other stakeholders. Built upon the real stories of our community - those that demonstrate vision, boldness, achievement and that embody our values – we can all find an answer to the call to be better versions of ourselves.

Be Boulder. invites us all to move beyond how others may define our community, and provides a framework to showcase our value. It is a call to action and an inspiration for our students, faculty and staff about who we are, and who we can become.

It reflects our identity as part of a unique and vibrant city that has distinguished itself as one of the leading entrepreneurial communities in the world.
