University of Colorado Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano will address faculty, staff, students and other members of the campus community at the annual State of the Campus address at CU-Boulder’s Glenn Miller Ballroom on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

The address will be DiStefano’s fifth as chancellor. He is entering his 40th year as a CU-Boulder faculty member, dean and senior administrator.

“I will focus on how CU-Boulder is responding to the new realities of reduced funding and expanding public expectations,” said DiStefano. “I will ask our campus to focus on three strategies – making innovations in how we serve students, identifying new sources of funding, and finding ways to build our reputation – as direct responses to these realities.”

Members of the media are invited to cover the speech, and CU faculty, staff and students are invited to attend. Doors open at 7 a.m., refreshments will be served and DiStefano’s speech will begin promptly at 8 a.m. To watch the live stream during the speech or read the text after the speech, go to http://chancellor.colorado.edu.
